Brandy Carwile
RYT 200 - Community Teacher
Originally from Denver and raised in Atlanta, Brandy’s Yoga journey began as a natural extension of her ballet training. What started as a complement to her dance practice quickly blossomed into a deeper connection to her body, spirit, and personal growth.
Her 30 years of dance instruction and a 25-year career as a professional ballet and commercial dancer have contributed to her wealth of movement knowledge and understanding of the body that is evident in her yoga practice.
Having relocated to Denver in 2021, Brandy is a recent graduate of the RYT 200 Program at the Yoga Center of Denver. Alongside her yoga teaching, she continues to work as a dance educator and occasional performer, blending the worlds of dance and yoga in a way that offers a unique perspective on movement.
Brandy is deeply passionate about fostering connection and healing within herself and in others. She spends time in nature and is an advocate for supporting those overcoming challenges, such as addiction and domestic violence, through animal fostering and community involvement.
Yoga has been an essential tool in Brandy’s own life, helping her navigate transitions, emotional hurdles, and physical challenges. It has taught her patience, empathy, and the importance of a healthy relationship with the body. She hopes to share these gifts with her students to empower them to honor their own bodies, heal from within, and develop a mindful approach to their physical and emotional well-being.
