Devon Sweeney

Creative Director - Teacher Trainer - E-RYT 500 - YACEP

Devon Sweeney is a student of inner ritual and energetic movement.

Lead teacher trainer of Prana Vinyasa Denver, she shares her art as a yogini and teacher of movement meditation. Devon is an intuitive somatic practitioner, a nurturing and passionate community builder and teacher educator, and a dedicated student of Shiva Rea.

Devon’s asana classes are delicately balanced experiences of rhythm and flow, subtle cueing and unique somatic patterning. Her understanding of the body—shaped by years of study in functional anatomy, integrative massage therapy, and embodied alignment—allows her to guide students into deeper relationship with each posture. With a refined eye and clear energetic intention, she helps people find the place within postures where fluid alignment meets awareness.

In Devon’s teaching style, asanas are dynamic containers to explore the healing effect of breath and remember our essential intelligence. Whether offering more subtle practices or in-depth asana sequences, her teaching is rooted in personal inquiry, deep presence, and a love for movement as medicine.

She is a senior teacher and affiliate trainer for the Samudra Global School of Living Yoga with her root teacher Shiva Rea. Over the last decade, Devon’s experiences teaching at festivals, trainings, retreats, and in studio communities have refined her ability to hold space with graceful clarity.

Devon is an E-RYT 500, YACEP with a background in Eastern Religious Studies, social and behavioral psychology, and integrative massage therapy, certified at the Berkana School of Massage Therapy in 2014.
